Purpose built for converged networks where voice, video, data and IoT are carried over a single network platform, the GS724TPv2 has 24 PoE+ copper ports and 2 dedicated SFP ports for fiber uplinks. It offers network managers the advantage of connecting up to 24 power-hungry wireless access points, IP security cameras, LED lighting, or VoIP endpoints to the network with a single wire for power AND connectivity. With its robust PoE power budget of 190W, the GS724TPv2 Switch supports denser deployment of PoE+ devices – a benefit for cautious-spender organizations.

As part of the Smart Managed Switch product family, this new 24-Port PoE+ Switch offers customized operation using an intuitive, web browser-based management interface. The GS724TPv2 offers advanced features such as Access Control Lists (ACLs), L2/L3/L4 QoS (DiffServ), LACP link aggregation and Spanning Tree, satisfying even the most advanced small business networks. The rackmount GS724TPv2 features Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) for maximum power savings and operates quietly even at full power thanks to its temperature- and load-based fan-speed control.

“We designed the GS724TPv2 to offer a cost-effective solution to support SMB switching needs for wireless converged networks, IP surveillance, IP telephony and IoT,” said Richard Jonker, vice president of product line management for SMB products at NETGEAR. “Even better, organizations that want to prepare for growth and buy infrastructure for the long-term will find that its 190W PoE power budget provides headroom for future expansion.”
